Players' Cigarettes

Players' cigarettes brand took its name after its manufacturer John Player who founded his tobacco company in the mid-19th century in Nottingham, England. It was expanded later into a cigarette manufactory based in Nottingham - and run by his sons, John and William.
In 1901, the Player's business was merged in to the Imperial Tobacco Group. However, Players cigarettes retained their own identity.
