Groups To Sponsor Clinic On Quitting Smoking

BRISTOL - The Bristol-Burlington Health District and the American Lung Association of Connecticut are teaming up to provide a Freedom From Smoking Clinic that combines the American Lung Association's nationally proven program with an opportunity for free
Through special grant funding, this $450 program is being offered for $50, $25 of which will be returned to participants who attend all seven sessions. Optional enhancement medications, such as a nicotine patch or Zyban tablets, will be available at a cost of no more than $25.
The program is open to Bristol and Burlington residents only. Participants must be at least 18.
A no-obligation information session is scheduled on Jan. 7 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Douglas A. Beale Senior Community Center, 240 Stafford Ave., Bristol.
