In 1519 a small settlement was established on a Caribbean shore caressed by warm, tropical waters. The colonists wanted to name it San Cristobal in honour of Christopher Columbus, but the native Indians preferred to name it La Habana.
San Cristobal de La Habana where designed to satisfy the taste of the most demanding smokers with a unique blend of tobaccos in an exceptional range of vitolas. The brand boasts four sizes, each of which is named after one of the fronts that defended the city in its heyday, as the hub of the Spanish empire in Latin America: El Morro, La Fuerza, La Punta, El Principe. Two of the sizes, La Fuerza (like a robusto but extra long) and El Morro (similar in gauge to a Double Corona and slightly longer than a Churchill), are entirely new and are unique to the San Cristobal brand.
